Well, it is good to know we in this country are not the only people who are stupid. Oh, maybe it's not such a good thing. It seems to me stupidly runs amuck in our world. I do wonder how some people's minds work when making decisions.This particular story happened on Wednesday in a small Australian town. It seems the town council, in all of their wisdom, have made the children of the town a hazard. Can you guess why they are a hazard? It seems they write on the sidewalks with their chalk. My fear is so intense for those poor towns people who are submitted to that danger. It also seems the children are breaking the towns graffiti law by writing on the sidewalk.
I am reminded of my childhood in a California small town. One of my greatest pleasures was going under the house and getting my chalk (busted up Sheetrock), and heading for the sidewalks to draw my hop scotch game. I would write my name across the top, so the neighborhood kids would know it was mine. I imagine there have been millions of kids who have been hazards and didn't even know it, and neither did their parents.
In all fairness, I can see a child with chalk as a hazard if there playing and a person without sight is walking down the sidewalk, without a cane or a dog and trips over the child. I haven't heard that it has ever happened,but I don't know everything. I do know what I think is stupidity, and this qualifies.
